Meti Labs was founded by four NTU AI PhDs with a shared conviction: that the most rigorous academic research, applied with deep industry understanding, can fundamentally transform how enterprises in Southeast Asia operate.
From NTU Research Labs to Enterprise AI
Meti Labs was born inside the research labs of Nanyang Technological University. Our four co-founders spent over a decade pushing the boundaries of machine learning, computer vision, and distributed systems — publishing in top-tier conferences and collaborating with Singapore's leading government agencies and multinationals.
What we noticed was a persistent gap: world-class AI research existed, but translating it into reliable, production-grade systems for complex industrial environments remained elusive. Enterprises in aviation, maritime, logistics, and transportation needed partners who understood both the science and the operational realities.
In 2018, we founded Meti Labs in Singapore to bridge that gap. Our mission is simple — deliver AI solutions that are not only technically excellent but operationally transformative, built on a foundation of rigorous research and genuine domain expertise.
